Privacy and terms

The short version: this site doesn't track you. The long version is below, in plain words.

Privacy

This is a personal portfolio. It has no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking pixels. Fonts, images and the videos are served from this site itself.

Two things load from elsewhere. The home page and the case studies ask zerobot.eu, which I run, for a few live numbers (how many servers use ZeroBot, players online on ZeroPvP, whether the demo server is up, and my newest video). No cookies go with that request. When there is a newest video, its thumbnail loads from YouTube's image server, i.ytimg.com, which means Google sees your IP address and browser for that one image, as with any embedded picture.

The price check on the home page runs only in your browser. Its button copies a summary to your clipboard and opens Discord; nothing you type there is sent anywhere by this site.

Like every web server, the server behind this site writes a standard access log for each request: your IP address, the time, the address you asked for, the referring page and your browser's user agent. These logs are used only to keep the server running and secure, are never shared or sold, and are deleted by the server's routine log rotation.

Links to Discord, YouTube, TikTok and BuiltByBit take you to those services, and their own privacy policies apply there. The same goes for the shop links on my setup page: they are plain links to the makers, Amazon and IKEA, not affiliate links, and nothing is passed along when you follow one.

The operator's contact details and the details of the server this site shares with ZeroPvP are in the ZeroPvP legal notice and the ZeroPvP privacy policy, which also explains your rights under the GDPR.

Terms

  1. The text, clips, screenshots and code on this site are my own work, apart from what the credits below name. Please don't copy them as your own.
  2. The site is provided as it is. Descriptions of my projects are kept accurate, but each project has its own terms on its own site.
  3. Commission work, including websites for businesses, is agreed separately, in writing, before it starts. Prices shown on this site are a guide; the fixed price is in the written quote. Nothing on this site is an offer that binds either side.
  4. The example websites under /websites/beispiele/ show made-up businesses. Their names, addresses, phone numbers, prices, texts and quotes are invented; any likeness to a real business is unintended.
  5. Product names and photos on the setup page belong to their makers.
  6. Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang, Microsoft or Discord.

The dream car inspectors at the bottom of the home page follow the interaction logic of VEYRA Interactive Car by Amir Mušić, used under the MIT licence. The licence text is kept in the script itself. The car photos are press photos from Porsche and Koenigsegg, and the facts come from the Porsche Newsroom and koenigsegg.com.
