Fish restaurant in Flensburg
Fish from the Baltic boats, grilled over beech charcoal. Sit inside by the window, or get a Fischbrötchen from the hatch and eat it on the quay.
Musterkai 4, west side of the harbour. Open daily from 11:30, Sundays from 12.
Seegang is German for the swell you feel under a boat. What we cook depends on what the boats bring in.
Mostly plaice and cod, herring in spring, mussels from the Limfjord when the water is cold. It all goes on the charcoal grill and comes with potatoes, butter, mustard or dill. When a fish is gone, we wipe it off the board.
The fish gets to our back door around half six. We have 46 seats inside, and from May about 30 more outside on the quay if the weather plays along.

No steps at the entrance on the quay side, and there's an accessible toilet. Dogs are fine on the terrace and at the bar. We speak German, English and a bit of Danish.
The bus station is about 6 minutes' walk along the water. Parking is easier on the east side of the harbour.
